A Welcome Gift for Cisco Employees

The Challenge

Cisco was converting to an open-plan office through its RE+Boot plan, a staggered process that would be a source of ongoing disruption to employees. Cisco wanted to do something special to thank workers for putting up with this inconvenience and to make their new environment as welcoming as possible.

The Solution

We worked with Cisco to put together welcome kits containing items that employees would love and that would also help them adapt to and maintain their new workspaces. The RE+Boot Welcome Kits included Bose noise-canceling headphones to ease the adjustment to a noisier open-plan environment. Ceramic coasters, wood cleaner, a cleaning cloth and antibacterial hand cleaner would help workers keep their new wooden desktops clean and looking great. Branded Kleen Kanteens were chosen in just the right size to fit under the new water coolers. Four-port USB hubs helped workers keep all their devices charged. And attractive Coleman coolers were used to hold the kits and simplify distributions. We worked diligently with different vendors such as Anker for the USB ports and Coleman for the coolers to ensure everything came together and arrived onsite on the right days in the correct quantities.

The Benefits

The welcome kits were very popular with recipients, who felt appreciated and acknowledged in that their inconvenience was recognized. The items in the kit were so popular that many other employees who were not affected by the move asked if they could get a kit too.
